Things I should know about web design

Q: How will I be involved with my sites design?
A: You will be involved in every step of the design process and approving work as it goes. We use a ten step design process which leads us through specific actions that you'll be evaluating and approving.
You will also be able to view your site design progress at any time in your client area.

Q: How many people can I have included in the design process?
A: We don't restrict the numbers of people included in the design process. It however is recommended that not more then 10 people be on your design team. Each person you designate as part of the design team will be provided with login information to your client area.

Q: I currently have a web site. Should I take it down while my new site is being developed?
A: This depends on several factors. If your current web site is hurting your on-line presence then we recommend taking it down and replacing it with a business card site until your new site is completed.

If your site is performing fairly well and is generally providing an acceptable web presence than simply let it stand until your new site is ready to launch.

Q: Should I use flash on my site?
A: Flash is cool. It makes web sites look great and "funky". However when the research data on web site usage is looked at we find that "moving graphics" can be a distraction to many users.

In fact many people who must suffer with long and drawn out flash intro screens will simply click away from the site.

So our recommendation is to use flash selectively and tastefully.
