Web Design Project Scope
Adirondack Candle Company operates a homemade specialty candle company in the Adirondack Foothills of New York. They are the original "Adirondack Candle" manufacturer in the region.
A family owned and operated business they pride themselves on exemplary customer service and take pride in their outstanding product line.
Catskill Web Site Design was contacted by the Adirondack Candle Company and was asked to develop an estimate and plan for a website redesign. The Adirondack Candle Company website at that time was developed in a graphics program and was essentially one large picture with some limited text. It had no interactive features.
After a complete analysis it was decided based on the sites current design (which was not SEO friendly) and the site poor performance it would be deconstructed and a new site would be designed from the ground up.
Project Implementation
After the decision was made to go ahead with the design we started out with the first step we take with every website we design. We worked with Adirondack Candle Company staff to flesh out and craft an effective site mission and site goals.
The project offered the company a design with greater interactivity and detailed product information with special attention to the fragrance presentation and the addition of a shopping cart, which it completely lacked in its original construct. The new site became a complete online resource for potential customers to explore and purchase products.

Post Launch Results & Performance
Visits - Prior to the website redesign the Adirondack Candle Company old website was getting about 25 - 50 unique visitors a month. With the redesign it has achieved a marked increase of targeted visits. With good visitor loyalty and excellent conversion rates both online and via phone contacts the site has become an effective marketing/sales tool. It also has made the process of recruiting wholesalers much easier.
Organic Search - Due to the old sites poor SEO & design it was ranking very poorly. Today the website enjoys a well optimized site which is achieving superior search ranking for many keyword phrases.
