Catskill 3500 Club is a membership based hiking and conservation group with over 1,700 members in New York. They are one of the most professional and active non-profit organizations that impact the Catskill Mountain region. An incorporated nonprofit and operated by a large volunteer base they pride themselves on exemplary service to the Catskill Region and it's environment.

Catskill Web Site Design develop a plan for a website complete website redesign. The goals of the website were simple to provide an effective marketing tool, online resource for their members, to attract new members and provide general hiking, conservation and club news and information to the general public. Additionally that the site was more visually appealing then the prior site.

After a complete analysis of the old website was done it was decided that a site redesign would benefit the organization greatly.

Project Implementation

After the decision was made to go ahead with the redesign we started out with the first step we take with every website we design. We worked with 3500 Club Website Planning Group to flesh out and craft an effective site mission and site goals.

The project offered the organization a design with interactivity for both the casual visitor looking for information with detailed & expanded hiking information on all the Catskill High Peaks. This new site became a complete online resource for potential and existing members alike. The new site added features of expanded information base such as Catskill Conservation, Club News, Hiking Guides, Hiking Safety and other essential resources.

Post Launch Results & Performance

Visits - Today the site is getting over 3,300 targeted unique visitors per month which is up from the 500 it was getting with the old site. With good visitor loyalty and excellent conversion rates (online contact & online application downloads) the site has become an effective marketing and information tool.
